Check lab email
Purpose
To keep the lab email organized, research records complete, and prompt response to participants and others who email the lab.
Procedure
- (Start when) You are checking the lab email
- Emails in the lab inbox will usually be:
- Response from a participant or parent
- Be sure to reach back out in a timely manner; if you have any questions, ask lab manager or grad student
- Notification from childlanglab-bot
- Notification from services we use (scheduling platforms, Zoom, Google Calendar, Google Docs, etc.)
- Student who wants to join the lab
- You may respond to them (add Katie and lab manager via CC)
- Other stuff
- Clean up the lab inbox
- We try to keep the inbox organized to monitor incoming emails and keep records of our studies
- Try to sort emails into proper labels (e.g., putting a “consent” label for a Hellosign email)
- If you are ever not sure how to handle an email, tag it as
lab-manager and leave it in the inbox
- (Stop when) You have processed all mail in the inbox

Let whoever can take care of it know as soon as possible and leave it in the inbox.
